Mrs. Myrtle Ann Dean

In loving memory of Myrtle Ann Dean (1945-2025) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myrtle Ann Dean at the age of 79. Myrtle or Ann (as she was called by many) was born on May 29th, 1945, in Tallahassee, Florida to Myrtle and Robert Key. Myrtle Ann met the love of her life and beloved husband, Edward Dean in 1960. Myrtle Ann met and married Edward when she was 14 and he 17 and were happily married for 65 years. Myrtle Ann was known for her strong will, her love for God and unwavering love and support for her family. Along with her husband, she was a member of Berean Mennonite Church in Tallahassee, Florida for many, many years. Throughout her life Myrtle Ann worked caring for the elderly, a rental agent and a loving housewife. Myrtle Ann loved music and taught herself to play the piano and the guitar from a very young age. She liked nothing better than sitting around with friends and family playing her old guitar and singing Christian hymns. She was an accomplished poet and loved writing poetry and inspirational writings. She also wrote and sang many songs through the years and was very gifted with these God-given talents. Many people through the years said she had the gift of hospitality because her home was always full and open to anyone who wanted to come eat a meal or just sit and talk. Even in the end she found a way to smile, laugh and love. I'm sure she's smiling, laughing and loving where she is today in Heaven with Jesus and all the ones that she loved and missed that have gone on before her. She is survived by her husband Edward Dean Sr, and her four sons Edward Dean, Jr (Debra), Robin Dean (Elaine), Tracy Dean (Janet) and Calvin Dean (Teresa). She has seven grandchildren; Billy, Shane, Crystal, Michael, Kelsi, Jacqui, Eddie and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Myrtle Ann was a wonderful inspiration and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife and will be missed for many years to come. Through the years she has made an impact on many lives. She will forever be missed. Until we meet again. Burial will immediately follow the service at Berean Fellowship Church Cemetery.
