Bobbie June Jobe passed away on October 18, 2021, at the age of 92. Mrs. Jobe was born in 1929 and was raised in Floyd, Arkansas. In 1947, she married her husband Bradley Jobe Jr., a WWII veteran. They moved to Texas in 1953, eventually settling in Tallahassee in 1969 to start the original Whataburger franchise in Tallahassee. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother to her son, daughter, granddaughters and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, painting and was an extraordinary gardener. In addition to working in the family business, she also worked for a brief time with the Florida Legislature and did voluntary work with charitable organizations in the Tallahassee area. Mrs. Jobe is survived by her son, James Jobe and his wife Lori; her brother, Jack Bradberry; her granddaughter, Erika Branchcomb and her husband Andrew; her step-granddaughter, Sadie Gruber; her great-grandchildren, Emelia, Jasmine and Gavin; as well as many nieces and nephews and their children. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at Tallahassee Memory Gardens at 4037 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
