Ms. Martha Hartley Fox Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Martha Hartley Fox, 79, of Tallahassee, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Canterfield of Tallahassee, surrounded by her three beloved children. A daughter of Grady W. Hartley and Esther Elizabeth Sims Hartley, she was born in Dothan, Alabama on September 21, 1942. She retired from the Florida Department of Financial Services, formerly the Department of Insurance, as an Executive Secretary, after 30 plus years of service. She enjoyed reading, caring for her birds and RV traveling with her sister; but most importantly, she loved attending Thomasville Road Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member. Martha adored her children and grandchildren, all of whom she was deeply proud. Nothing brought her more joy than knowing they were happy and safe. Her closest friends were more like family to her and she cherished the time she shared with them. She excelled in her steadfast support of her family and friends through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. She made it her mission to enrich and improve the lives of others. To be loved by Martha, was to be truly blessed. Survivors include her children, Victoria Kliner, Jay Meredith (wife, Beth) and Robert Brooks; grandchildren, Matt Meredith, Clay Meredith, Lauren Sykes, Tyler Koehler and Shelby Koehler; a sister, Carolyn Ogden; as well as many extended family members and numerous former family members that were still very dear to her. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Tallahassee Memory Gardens, Garden of the Last Supper. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
