Mr. Casey Mack Goodson Jr.

Casey Mack Goodson Jr. was born to Heather Nicole and Casey Mack Sr. on Thursday, February 24, 2000, and passed on Sunday, January 1, 2023. He was the big brother to Caleb Allen Goodson and Caden Alex Goodson, who he loved more than anything. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, he attended Fort Braden School and Godby High School. Even as a small child, Casey enjoyed fishing whenever he got the chance, and his love for fishing and the water stayed with him. He was always on a boat, at a landing, lake, beach or the river. He loved riding in the woods with his family and friends and hanging out with those he loved. When he wasn't outdoors doing something, you could bet that he was inside on his Xbox playing online with his stepdad and all of his "brothers" taking down the common enemy on whatever game they were playing. When Casey walked into the room his smile was the first thing that everyone noticed. His love and loyalty for his family and closest friends was without measure and his ability to learn new things and excel definitely came from his Pops. Buddy- we love and miss you terribly, for the first time ever our family can say you are waiting on us now. Casey is survived by his mother, Heather Nicole Strickland (Michael Jason Strickland); his father, Casey Mack Goodson Sr.; his brothers, Caleb Allen Goodson (Victoria McNab) and Caden Alex Goodson; his maternal grand-parents, Linda McAnally, Benjamin Franklin Allen Jr. (Debbie); his paternal grandmother, Linda Kay Norton; his maternal great-grandparents, Benjamin Franklin Allen Sr., Valaree Allen and Francis Morris; his nephew, Ryland; his first aunts and uncles, Elizabeth Boyd (Rick), James Wesley Goodson Sr., Winston Cory Goodson, Tracy Goodson Shepard (Spencer), Barbara Goodson, Cynthia Goodson Clinton, Stephanie Potts (James) and Michelle Suggs (George); his first cousins, Desiree Leigh Goodson and Kaylee Denise Goodson, who were more like his sisters, Billie Rae Goodson, James Wesley Goodson Jr., Gaberielle Goodson, Shelby Suggs, Maggie Suggs, Izzy Suggs, Drew Goodson, Bayley Goodson and Lincoln Shepard. He is also survived by a large host of great aunts and uncles, great-great aunts and uncles and many beloved cousins along with his closest friends that became part of his family. Visitation is 10:00 AM, Friday, January 6, 2023, at Abbey Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Tallahassee Memory Gardens, Garden of the Last Supper.
